Bodywork & Massage for Women

Welcome to Sacred Space Massage, Massage Therapy for Women. 
Hi, I'm Denise McKenna, a certified massage therapist (CMT).  I
provide massage services exclusively for women at my peaceful
and safe home studio in Milton.  I am also a Reiki practitioner and
often combine massage with the energy work for my clients.


My Massage Services

As your therapist, I will tailor the massage to your needs each session. 
I use a variety of healing bodywork techniques:  Swedish, Deep Tissue,
Trigger Point Therapy, Cranial Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology and other
modalities.  I regularly attend classes and receive additional training
to keep my CMT status, and enjoy sharing new healing techniques
and wellness tips with my clients.  I am also available for onsite
Chair Massages for local businesses, schools and special events. 
I have worked with people suffering from headaches, muscle tension,
Multiple Sclerosis, depression, painful joints, scoliosis, arthritis, athletic
strains, asthma and everyday stress.


Why Massage

I love massage therapy because it provides the gift of wellness and
awareness in Body, Mind and Spirit.  I have had clients make the
connection for the first time between their physical pain and mental/
emotional stress.  If you are interested in knowing more about these
connections, I highly recommend reading the book, "Anatomy of the
Spirit," by Caroline Myss.  Massage and bodywork is so much more
than the physical touch.


Sacred Space...

The room, Sacred Space, is surrounded with beautiful healing crystals,
which can even be found underneath the massage table.  Clients often
enjoy viewing them as they are receiving their massage.  I believe
crystal energy plays a part in the peacefulness of the room.  The
crystals support each client's healing and bodywork session.  Sacred
Space is also decorated with the Kokopelli. 

Who was Kokopelli?  I'm asked this question often by my clients.  He
is known as a fertility god, healer, story teller and prankster.  He is a
sacred figure to many Southwestern Native Americans.  I have a strong
attraction for Indian artwork and southwestern design.
